This is a collection of snippets from our beer menu of styles that we once had, but which are now
gone, most recently departed on top.
*There are exceptions, but that's the general rule.
**Given the way recipes can permute, the list is literally endless. I think BJCP recognizes
200+ styles.

Good Intentions
Pale Kellerbier
ABV: 5.1%

An unfinished-Helles, Kellerbier has a more pronounced -- less-mellowed -- flavor along several vectors, including
maltiness, hoppiness, and general "beeriness". This traditional brew will release in limited quantity for Oktoberfest,
with the remainder of the batch being left to mature until 2025, when it will reaappear as our Helles.
Many enjoy the extra "punch" of the younger Kellerbier and then comparing the flavor and feel (next year) after
it's finished lagering. Either way, it's cool, refreshing, and an excellent example of the traditional style.

"Winter Solstice"

comforting warmth of star anise, vanilla, and other seasonal flavors, this sweet, balanced ale

A tantalizing concoction combining the smooth richness of American-style red ale with the
bang of habanero and ghost peppers. Caramel malt sweetness blend with the spice of fiery peppers,
creating an ale that won't knock you down, but definitely carries some heat.
Delicious on its own, or use it as a base for Bloody Mary or other spicy cocktails.

Black as Dark Helmet's ...uh... helmet, yet surprisingly smooth, our Schwarzbier balances roasted

touch of noble hops, yielding a subtle hint of earthy bitterness.

Mexican Lager

A typical scotch ale as the base, but with the delightful taste of pecan pie!
The creamy nitro head carries most of the pie flavor and aroma, while the underlying
wee-heavy is more subtle.

German for "Cellar beer", this is our 2023 Oktoberfest release. A middle-ages Bavarian style,
it's a young, unfiltered, unpasteurized lager with a more pronounced flavor profile than its fully
lagered cousin, the Marzen. Lightly carbonated, it's a nice, refreshing, medium-bodied beer perfect
for the Autumnal transitional weather.

resiny flavor. The style is defined by the beer made popular by Anchor Brewing. |

A light, somewhat fruity, somewhat citrusy "Summer" beer. This is for all the folk that asked for
a "Hefeweizen" (a German-style, herbal wheat beer) when they really wanted a "Witbier" (Belgian style
fruity/citrusy farmhouse ale). NOTE: Geoooooooorge!!! contains no wheat. 🙃

Hazy (New England) IPA

Often called a "hazy" IPA, regardless of the beer's clarity, this is a less bitter, more citrusy, more
"juicy" variant IPA that has come to popularity in recent years as an easier drinking alternative to
the West Coast IPA.
